D:1 - A young love lost woman in a flowing white dress picks me, a boy, and a girl in a helicopter; or a helicopter type device, we appear to be in an open floating container. We ride slowly around a suburban neighborhood almost in a floating manner as she talks to the young man about what he loves. He says he loves motorcycles, women, and pie and as we float about we encounter all of these items The woman tells him he can no longer have any of these things. The boy is confused and wonders why she says these things but for some reason accepts them as if she has some sort of other worldly presence on him. This woman seems to dictate the future. As the helicopter arrives to the front lawn it slowly hovers at a spot. The boy disappears and only me, the girl that was picked up, and the woman remain. The girl I’m with seems to know what is happening and bends down so that only her bent legs are keeping her held on to this floating device. The woman looks at me and I know it’s time to go. The girl grabs my hands and slowly lets me down upon the ground. I am on the ground and prepare to catch the girl once she lets go. At this moment feelings overwhelm me as if I have known this girl my whole life, although I did not know her before now she is a lover I’d known for years. The woman sees me prepare myself to catch the girl and overcome with jealousy at something she could never have lets out a blood curling scream, the girl drops, and as I reach out I realize I’m off. Her face passes me and on it is an expression of complete trust, trust that I would catch her as I had done many times before. Her head hits the ground and her neck snaps as the rest of her body crushes her. I stand there unable to conceive the events that had happened. I was going to catch her but I hesitated, why did I hesitate? Was this what I wanted? Surely it couldn’t be, I wouldn’t let her die. Why did I do it? Was the woman an angel who erased desire or a demon who destroyed love. Perhaps it was all me.
